WASSAIC RESIDENCY 2021

For one week, Tsdedaye Makonnen and I performed in and around the area of Wassaic, New York - an area with a rich history of BLack Liberation via the underground railroad. These images in collaboration with Tsedaye Makonnen, are from the Black Femme Residency, founded and curated by Douglas Turner. The Wassaic Project hosted this residency for the 2021 iteration.

All photos were taken by Theo Coulombe.

For sixth months in 2020 I was sick with long Covid and living alone. During this time I began making weekly performaces.
